Albert Ray Olpin served as President of the University of Utah from 1946 to 1964. This collection consists of typewritten journals kept by Olpin of his activities as President of the University and handwritten journals of his world travels.

Albert Ray Olpin was born June 1, 1898 in Pleasant Grove, Utah. He received an A.B. in Physics from Brigham Young University in 1923 and a Ph.D. in Physics from Columbia University in 1930.
